Triangle Named Winner Of Prestigious Brodie Distinguished Safety Award

Triangle Enterprises, Inc's. safety program has, once again, received national recognition. The National Insulation Association has recognized Triangle's safety program by awarding the firm the Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Safety Award for demonstrating excellence in safety.

The National Insulation Association (NIA) announced the 2012 Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Safety Award winners at NIA's 58th Annual Convention in Bonita Springs, Florida, on April 18, 2013. The Brodie Safety Award is NIA's highest industry honor for outstanding safety performance.

Judging for the prestigious award focused on the company's overall safety program, means of communication and training, and safety policy.

The award was named after Theodore H. Brodie in recognition of his devotion to safety and his untiring efforts to put safety in the forefront of the industry.

Triangle Receives Prestigious Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Award

Triangle Enterprises, Inc., has been named a 2012 Thomas J. Reynolds award winner for construction safety and health from The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC). This prestigious safety award recognizes the outstanding achievements of TAUC members to minimize the number of work site accidents, injuries and illnesses to their employees. To be eligible for an award, the firm's DART rate had to be below 1.575 which is 25% below the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) national average of 2.1.Triangle's DART rate was 0.00. Triangle will be recognized with a zero DART Award. The award will be presented at the TAUC Leadership Conference 2013 taking place May 7-10 at the Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia.

Triangle Acquires Paducah Sheet Metal

PADUCAH, Ky. (March 4, 2013) Paducah, Ky.-based Triangle Enterprises, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Paducah Sheet Metal of Paducah, Ky.

The acquisition gives Triangle, one of the largest and fastest growing commercial and industrial insulation, HVAC, sheet metal and scaffolding  providers in the southeast, 29,000 square feet of additional fabrication space, along with a variety of equipment enabling the firm to expand fabrication services and provide customers with additional capabilities.

With the purchase of Paducah Sheet Metal, Triangle will now be able to offer customers throughout the United States carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic plate metal forming and rolling up to one inch in thickness. Additional capabilities include:  HVAC, fabrication & erection, custom fabrication, miscellaneous structural steel, fabrication and installation of dust collector systems, and heavy industrial & special metal fabrication, along with custom piece work.

J.P. Kelly, president and chief executive officer of Triangle Enterprises said, "The combined expertise of this addition gives Triangle 117 years of experience in the custom metals fabrication business and the additional equipment enables us to provide new services to new and existing markets, both locally and nationally."

The employees of Paducah Sheet Metal, Inc., in business in Paducah, Ky., since 1955, will continue to work as employees of Triangle. The company hopes to work with Paducah city officials to maintain and possibly expand the facility and employees at the Monroe street location. Paducah Sheet Metal was established as a family-owned business and contributes its success to years of professional, honest, hard work, with top quality craftsmanship.

Triangle Receives Special AGC Safety Award

The Associated General Contractors Association of Western Kentucky has named Triangle Enterprises as one of two Chapter Safety Award winners in the over 250,000 hours category. Triangle was recognized for working over 250,000 hours with no lost time accidents during 2012. Triangle has been recognized as the organization's Chapter Safety winner in the Specialty Contractor Division multiple times in past years.

Associated General Contractors of Western Kentucky is an organization of over 400 of the top general contractors, residential/light commercial builders, construction managers, design/builders, specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers comprising Western Kentucky's commercial construction industry.

Triangle Safety Program Paying Dividends

Triangle's OSHA Recordable Incident Rate is trending significantly lower for 2012 as a result of ongoing safety training and education. Triangle's YTD TRIR is.81, a significant improvement over 2011 and well below the industry average. Over the past 3 1/2 years, Triangle craftsmen have logged over 1,750,000 man-hours with no lost time injuries. Everyone at Triangle works diligently at improving safety, with the ultimate goal being zero.

 

Triangle Named Merit Winner In National Safety Program

Triangle Enterprises, Inc., the Paducah, Ky-based insulation, HVAC, sheet metal and scaffold contractor, has been named a Certificate Of Merit winner in the national Zero Injury Safety Awards annual competition by the National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee for achieving over 50,000 work hours with no OSHA recordable injuries on a single project site worked under the terms of the National Maintenance Agreement.

The company was recognized at the annual Zero Injury Safety Awards gala held October 26, 2011, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Triangle was one of only 42 construction firms in the nation designated as a certificate of merit recipient.Criteria for the prestigious award included: having a written safety program that includes a management commitment to the Zero Injury philosophy; all work hours must have been worked under the terms of the National Maintenance Agreements; and work hours must have been comprised of at least 80 percent direct hire craft hours on a single NMAPC project for an identified owner.

Triangle won the award for work completed at Arkema in Calvert City.
