Ballard Elementary School:

Barlow, KY

HVAC Renovation Project

Triangle installed a complete new hydraunic piping system complete with five Lockinvar, 800,000 BTU boilers. Complete renovation of existing HVAC system, including new outside air units and duct work. Installed new, liquid cooler and pumping package, along with complete DDC Control System. The project was completed within a compressed 10-week schedule.

 

Tennessee Valley Authority:
Clinton, TN

Bull Run Fossil Plant:
Triangle recently completed several projects as a subcontractor to Advatech LLC. The project work scopes consisted of insulating 17 FGD duct splices/expansion joints, electric tracing/pipe insulation for freeze protection, HVAC for the plant services buildings and scaffold as needed for each of the scopes noted. The picture above depicts the FGD duct insulation system. Two expansion joints and three spices are shown. The project was completed with zero lost time accidents.

Westlake: Calvert City, KY

Column Insulation and Scaffold Project:
The height of this tower is greater than 200' tall and is the tallest structure in Western Kentucky. Triangle performed the insulation and lagging on this column. The engineered scaffold was erected by Triangle.

Tennessee Valley Authority:
Paradise Fossil Plant

Flue Gas Desulfurization Duct & Freeze Protection Project:
Triangle partnered and provided the HVAC, process ductwork insulation & lagging, process piping insulation, heat tracing and scaffold support for this FDG system serving a 1350 MW coal fired unit in central Kentucky. The project was completed on time and without any lost time injuries or restricted work days. The projects were performed under contracts to  Bowen Engineering and Advatech, LLC.

Cumberland Fossil Plant

Control Bay Pressurization and Chiller Replacement:
This $1.8M project scope involved the installation of two 250 ton chillers, a 56 ton 100% outside air make-up system, numerous air handlers, complete powerhouse chilled water piping replacement, ductwork, controls and insulation. The scope also included all structural steel platforms, 6.9kV and 250V power and associated switchgear. All the work was performed without interruption to normal plant operations.

Kentucky Lake Hydroelectric Dam

Building Controls and Life Safety Upgrades:
The project scope included the change-out of an 80 ton chiller and the replacement of pneumatic controls with a complete Honeywell DDC system including control damper replacements. The life safety portion included installation of multiple fire dampers, pressurization & exhaust fans and controls. The work was completed in three phases in order to allow uninterrupted cooling and control to the customer.

Ameren: Grand Tower Station

Re-Powering Project:
Two Westinghouse gas turbines were added to turn two new generators and each turbine's exhaust was recovered in HRSG units which generated steam to drive the two existing generators. Triangle was responsible for the insulation and sheet metal work on this nearly $9M project performed under contract with J. A. Jones of Charlotte, NC.

Massac County High School

HVAC Replacement and Upgrade:
This project was performed under an accelerated schedule. The entire job was completed during a 12 week period (summer break). The project included 3 package units (70 tons total), 170 tons in 63 water source heat pumps, 4 energy recovery ventilation systems, a cooling tower and a boiler. All the domestic water piping was replaced.

Arkema: Refrigerant Plant

Insulation project:
This project consisted of 12,000 liner feet of process piping and numerous pieces of equipment utilizing mostly Foamglas insulation and stainless steel jacketing. Custom removable blanket fabrication and scaffolding support were also provided.

Best Buy: Paducah, Ky

HVAC Project:
This picture shows 1 of 10 air conditioning units being set by a crane at the Kentucky Oaks Mall located at Paducah, KY. The roof top units ranged from 2 to 17.5 tons. We were also responsible for the ductwork servicing the building.

Southern Illinois Power Coop:
Marion, IL

Unit 4 SCR Addition:
Triangle performed the insulation and lagging portion of this project located at Marion, IL. This photograph records the SCR diverter duct's lift into position. As you can see the duct was insulated and lagged on the ground as were all the other ducts and SCR sections. Field joints were finished after the pieces were erected. This project was performed with J. S. Alberici of St. Louis, MO

Marshall County Peak Power Station:
Calvert City, Ky

Peak Power Plant:
This facility was built near Calvert City, KY for Duke Energy. Triangle's portion of the work included lining the exhaust stacks and insulating piping and six large tanks. The demineralized water storage tank is shown in progress. This tank is 77 feet in diameter and 48 feet tall. This picture was taken before the aluminum lagging was applied.

Harrah's Riverboat Casino

New HVAC Installation:
This contract included the total HVAC installation for Harrah's River Boat Casino located on the Ohio River at Metropolis, IL. This project was reviewed in SNIPS a nationally distributed industry magazine. The project amount was in access of $1M.
